Samsung latest for United Shirt Sponsor Talks

Share

South Korean electronic giants Samsung are the latest talks for Manchester United's shirt sponsor for 2009/2010 season.

United's £56.5m agreement with American insurance giant AIG expires at the end of this season and they are now looking for a new deal before the end of the year.

A Samsung spokesman said: "Manchester United has recently sent an official letter asking if it's possible to seal a new shirt sponsorship deal. Nothing has been decided yet. The club has approached other companies as well."

Indian companies Sahara, Tata and Saudi company Saudi Telecom have already claimed advances from United with a shirt deal with the Premier League leaders.

AIG still owe £14 million to United said they will not renew their contract with United.
