Five Red Devils in the PFA Award Nominees

Manchester United dominates this years PFA award nominees with five players out of six. Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Nimanja Vidic, and Edwin Van dar Sar are on the list with Liverpool powerhouse Steven Gerrard.

Cristiano Ronaldo hopes to become the first man to win the Professional Footballers Association accolade three times in successive seasons.

Ronaldo was the overwhelming favorite last season, scoring 42 goals to lead the club to the Premier League and Champions League titles.

Defenders Jonny Evans and Rafael da Silva represent United in the young player of the year shortlist. They are competing against Aston Villa duo Gabriel Agbonlahor and Ashley Young, Tottenham's Aaron Lennon and Manchester City midfielder Stephen Ireland.
