Carling cup quarter final match between Manchester United and Blackburn will be played at Old Trafford tonight. Manchester United should win this match to continue the tournaments value. As is often the case the bigger clubs focus on the competitions which are perceived to be important are given priority and the other 'less' important competitions are used as training matches for the second string players.
