Share

Chelsea lost a great chance to go top over Liverpool after the draw match against West Ham United at Stamford Bridge last night. They were held at a 1-1 scoreline.

Chelsea, which has now failed to win six of its nine home league games, trailed to Craig Bellamy’s 34th-minute strike at Stamford Bridge. Nicolas Anelka scored his 100th Premier League goal to avoid a second straight home defeat for the Blues.

“We went a goal up early on and we expected to be put under pressure but we were solid and put in a good shift,” West Ham’s Scott Parker told Sky Sports. “I think we deserved a point.”

Liverpool stay top after this weekends play with 38 points even though they lose points with Hull City. Chelsea, standing right after Liverpool with just One point behind. And Manchester United at third position with 32 points.
